HITEC Sensor Solutions

HITEC Sensor Solutions was established in 1971 to provide a wide range of specialized Engineering Services for elevated temperature and extreme environment sensor installations and measurements.

Specific advances of the company include the development of various sensor application techniques that contribute to HITEC Sensor Solutions success in the sensor industry. Throughout the years the Company has expanded its capabilities to offer custom transducerization of components to a wide variety of industries and custom OEM transducers from design to production in large quantities.

In 2010, HITEC Sensor Solutions was acquired and proudly became part of Safety Technology Holdings, Inc.

In July of 2012, HITEC Sensor Solutions, added Sensor Developments, Inc. (SDI) a Michigan based company specializing in custom strain gage based force and torque measurement solutions to enhance our current facility and services that include A2LA accredited calibration services.

Sensor Developments/IDW

SDI was formed in 1976 as an engineering consulting firm specializing in the science of force measurement and sensor design. Since then, Sensor Developments has expanded by adding highly skilled people with diverse backgrounds and manufacturing facilities for specialized force and torque sensors.

Sensor Developments have engineered force measurement solutions for many industries and applications, including: automotive, aerospace, OEM, medical, nuclear, and textile. SDI enjoys worldwide recognition for its expertise in designing specialized strain gage based sensors for force and torque applications.

SDI has appeared on the Michigan 100 list three times as one of the fastest growing companies in Michigan. SDI continues to strive for industry excellence and has served on the technical committee of the Oakland County Business Roundtable.

Fibercore Brand Sensors

Fibercore is also proudly part of the Safety Technologies Holdings, and works in concert with HITEC Sensor Developments to offer high level specialty fiber for the purpose of creating fiber-bragg grating sensors.
